I have finished studying the jlpt 2 vocab list. I already know pretty much all the grammar, but I continue adding cards, at least until I finish the unicom grammar book (almost finished). I also am finished adding all vocab cards from unicom 2kyuu vocab book. I'n now using 500 mon textbook, which is jlpt 3/2 oriented. It is divided in 4 weeks, (I'm on the 2nd), I can do one week in 2/3 days, and that's what I intend on doing.
Still,
I feel I'm not prepared. I'm finishing all textbooks at the same time. I'm also using somatome 2 kyuu reading book. After adding all this, I will read, read, read (wikipedia, random websites, my books) and add new words I find.
Despite all this, I don't feel ready to take jlpt2. I cannot say how many words I know, because many of my cards have more than 3 words (specially those I take from the news, and random articles). I estimate that I have around 6000 words, maybe more, maybe less.
Sorry for writing in english today. I was actually going to use this as a comment in another blog, that's why.
It's enough. Really. I tried the reading section and it's really only a problem/matter of grammar here, or rather, READING. I'm not used to it. I skip lines often and hate reading whole passages wholeheartedly, so it's only a matter of practice here.
返信削除I guess for JLPT2 with 6000 words you're quite well prepared, actually.. With 6000 words you'd easily 'guess' the meaning of 光合成 f.e. (appeared in Kanzen).
Did you do Kanzen? I will really do them all for JLPT2, because they prepare you really well!!
No, I could not guess the meaning of that word. If I had seen it in context I might would have.
返信削除I'm going to use kanzen grammar ust to review, like one month before the test. I'm still finishing the unicom book.
I bought a mock test and am going to simulate a real JLPT and see what's my score.
Even though I don't read much, I enjoy reading, and lately understanding what I read became easy (except for unknown vocab, though sometimes I can guess the meaning from context).
BTW! I officially finished the list of 2kyuu vocab! Just now! I know this because in anki a new card appeared with the word starting by "a", which means it's the first word from the 1kyuu list (I only added a few). YAY!
Now I will finishing adding the vocab of the books mentioned above and will read, read and read so that I can get more vocab and reading speed :D
I add so many cards a week that I have still 505 unseen cards, learnind 30 new a day - actually tried doing 50 a day for like 2 weeks but I got so, so tired that had to stop with that. How many new cards do you learn a day?
